Yuri Norstein's papercut realities

His is a mixture of stop motion, cut-outs, shadow puppetry, delicate painting, and many other things (not wholly excluding actual mist). Hayao Miyazaki is also a fan of his. Oh, and he is still alive (!!).
(Then again, Jan Svankmajer is still alive, too, as is Miyazaki, so I shouldn't complain.)
